LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police outlined expected traffic delays for Friday ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris' rally in Wilkes-Barre.
Pennsylvania State Police say they are assisting the United States Secret Service and other agencies with the safety and security of Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris during her visit to Wilkes University.

PSP reports the visit will include temporary delays and closures on the following roadways;
Interstate 81
State Route 309 (Cross Valley Expressway)
Academy Street to Market Street
South River Street to Wilkes-Barre Boulevard
The delays will take place in the late afternoon and evening hours.

Drivers should expect delays, backups, and congestion in and around these areas throughout the day on Friday, especially in and around downtown Wilkes-Barre.
