Three arrested for alleged retail theft at Walmart

HAZLE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report that four people were arrested after being accused of retail thefts at a Walmart in Luzerne County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded to Walmart in Hazle Township for separate retail theft incidents throughout September.

On September 5 around 9:30 p.m., troopers responded to a theft where a 38-year-old woman from Hazleton, stole $128.99 worth of food and medicine from Walmart

Then, two days later on September 7 around 1:50 p.m., police said a 21-year-old woman stole $273.99 worth of merchandise. Troopers noted the woman was also found with a fake New York driver's license. She was taken to the Luzerne County Prison after not posting bail.

Lastly, on September 8 around 5:30 p.m., state police say a 21-year-old man stole $96.02 of food items from Walmart.

All three people from Hazleton have been charged through the district court.
