Vice President Kamala Harris visits Wilkes-University

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Vice President Kamala Harris is bringing people from all over Northeastern Pennsylvania to Wilkes-Barre during Friday's rally.

Many attendees 28/22 News spoke with are excited to see Vice President Harris in person, rather than on a screen. Those attending the rally hope their presence demonstrates their strong support for Harris and Walz.

In addition to seeing Vice President Harris, they’re eager to hear more about her policies and learn about her plans if elected. Many see this rally as a pivotal moment to connect with her campaign and feel more engaged in the upcoming election

"I'm hoping that we hear more about her plans for the small business opportunity because I'm all about that, women's issues and just dispelling myths and lies that have been told, every time we have an opportunity, to tell the truth, it's a good opportunity," explained Nidicka Frederick, of Mount Pocono.

"Policies on immigration, definitely immigration, housing, just the basic things she was talking about during the debate," stated Will Outwater, of Clifford Township

"I wanna hear her separate herself a little more from the administration she's already in," said Xavier Morana, of Hazleton.
