HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — New details emerged Tuesday evening involving a shooting on Monday in Hazleton.
On September 16, Hazleton City Police say they were called to the intersection of North James Street and West 4th Street after multiple calls of gunshots in the area.
Police say when investigating the scene they found shell casings in the area and while on scene, they learned that a gunshot victim was taken to a nearby hospital.
Police investigation underway in Hazleton
Authorities explained that the victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot in the arm.
Police believe this is an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing.
