COGAN STATION, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Disaster Recovery Center opened Wednesday in Lycoming County. It will be located at the Hepburn Township Volunteer Fire Company.
Disaster survivors who live in Lycoming, Potter, Tioga, and Union Counties can visit to receive assistance.
It gives those dealing with flood damage the option of applying in person for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA.)

"If you're like me, you don't like to talk to robots. So this allows the survivor to come in, talk to us, ask any questions they may have," said FEMA Media Relations Specialist Trey Paul.
"We help people with new registrations and take a look at their existing registration to see if we can facilitate the process to move as quickly as possible," said Disaster Recovery Center Manager Jim MacDougal.
The Disaster Recovery Center in Lycoming County is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until further notice.
It will not be open this Saturday, or Saturday, October 19th, or on Election Day.
It will open later next Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. due to previously scheduled activities.
