EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — Eight drivers have been arrested during DUI checkpoints in Carbon and Luzerne County.
Traffic enforcement, including sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols, was conducted as part of a statewide crackdown on impaired driving.
Two-vehicle crash involving police cruiser, motorcycle
According to Pennsylvania State Police, during the checkpoints and roving patrols, troopers pulled over multiple vehicles, resulting in five drivers arrested for DUI.
Two drivers were arrested for having a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and one fugitive was arrested on a warrant, PSP stated.
32 traffic citations were issued along with 12 written warnings for violations were given.
