Alert issued for sewer main break in Central PA
Part of the creek is flowing into the sinkhole, which the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) says opened in recent days and resulted in water loss.
The DEP clarified Sunday the nature of the problem.
Water in the creek is seeping through the fix to the previous subsidence from this past April and the DEP says it was alerted Saturday morning about water loss in Toby Creek.
DEP says it is monitoring Toby Creek and that work will begin within days to fill the subsidence.
