EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — After several months of recounts, challenges, and court dates, a winner has finally been called in the primary race for the Republican nomination for the 117th district.
According to the Luzerne County Bureau of Elections, Jamie Walsh has been certified the victor over Mike Cabell. Walsh won the nomination by four votes.
Provisional ballots counted in 117th District House Race
Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo confirmed the elections certifcation.
With no Democratic opposition, Walsh will run unopposed in the November election.
