LEWISBURG, UNION COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A new Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Recovery Center has opened in Lewisburg, supporting those in Lycoming, Potter, Tioga, or Union Counties that Tropical Storm Debby impacted in August.
FEMA may be able to help residents pay for temporary housing, home repairs, rental assistance, and other needs caused by the disaster according to Trey Paul, Media Relations Specialist at FEMA.

The Disaster Recovery Center is located at the Union County Resouce Center at 480 Hafer Road in Lewisburg and is open from Monday through Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
FEMA states survivors do not need to visit the Disaster Recovery Center to register, and it is possible to call 800-621-3362, a toll-free number, to register that operates from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
The deadline to apply for assistance is November 12.
