UNION TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police say a 19-year-old man is facing charges after a crash killed the passenger in his car.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Tyler Mizell, 19, of Hanover Township, is charged with homicide by motor vehicle and DUI after a deadly crash occurred on June 22.
Police say the crash happened in Union Township and it was around 4:40 a.m. when troopers were called to the scene. The driver was later confirmed to be Mizell and the passenger in the car, 19-year-old Kaycee Kreitzer, was found dead in the wooded area.

As stated in the affidavit, Mizell was driving 77 mph when he traveled off the roadway, across an asphalt driveway, and went over a cliff, landing in the woods.
Kreitzer was ejected from the right passenger door window that was open during the crash, PSP stated.
Mizell results of a toxicology report showed his blood alcohol level to be .100% on the day of the crash.
