Uptick in bear sightings across the area
The criminal complaint states Yates said he owned a six to seven-month Bernedoodle/Pit Bull mix puppy. He claims they were playing when the puppy bit him and he threw the puppy. Yates told officers the puppy struck the floor near the cement pad where the heater was located.
Police say Yates reported the puppy cried for an hour before vomiting and subsequently passing away.
