Man accused of giving alcohol to teens, assaulting girl

WILLIAMSPORT, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police have arrested a man who they say gave alcohol to teens and sexually assaulted a girl.

According to the Williamsport Bureau of Police, 22-year-old Nicholas Peterson was arrested after a female juvenile reported an incident that happened on July 14.

Officers said the victim and three other female juveniles met up with Peterson in Williamsport and he bought several alcoholic beverages before he took them to his home.

The victim told officers that she became intoxicated and asked to leave, however, the next thing she remembered was waking up on a bed, without any clothes on and Peterson was strangling her, police stated.

As stated in the release, the victim was able to get Peterson off her but she suffered bruising and facial injuries that was later treated at Geisinger Hospital in Muncy.

Peterson was arrested on September 24 and he faces the charges of rape, sexual assault, strangulation, aggravated indecent assault, and furnishing alcohol to minors.

He remains in the Lycoming County Prison after being denied bail.
