Drawing up some fun at Chalkfest
Organizers say it puts a spotlight on artists and attendees seemed to like what they saw.
"My sister-in-law asked me if I wanted to go to an art walk and I said that sounds like fun. I wanted to come see some of the nice art that they had and I did enjoy that," said Gail Hassay.
"Normally, you know, I have to travel to find venues for my work and it's awesome to see that there are new venues emerging, say, in my neighborhood practically," says Del Casterline the local artist glassmaker.
Organizers say they had more attendees than expected and plan to come back even bigger and better next year.
