EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — A lawsuit has been filed over the Luzerne County Manager's decision to remove all mail ballot drop boxes ahead of the November 5 general election.
The suit was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Pennsylvania on behalf of Luzerne County voters and In This Together NEPA.

Earlier this month, the Luzerne County Manager decided to remove all the mail ballot drop boxes in the county, citing election security concerns.
The board's most recent vote to again use drop boxes occurred in February 2024 and was used for the primary election in April.
