HAZLE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report that five people were arrested after being accused of retail thefts at a Walmart in Luzerne County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded to Walmart in Hazle Township for separate retail theft incidents throughout August and September.
On August 10 around 7:45 p.m., troopers responded to a theft where a 41-year-old woman from Berwick under-scanned various food and household items for a lower price than the price tag placed.

Then on September 20 state police say they were called for a theft where a 25-year-old woman from Weatherly under-rang clothing items and medicine while using the self-checkout lane.
On September 24 around 3:48 p.m., troopers said a 67-year-old woman from Hazle Township hid a pair of pants and a candle, then tried to leave the store without paying for them. Lastly, on the same day around 10:30 p.m., PSP was called for two teen girls, ages 18 and 19, allegedly stealing miscellaneous household items totaling $223.5 between both suspects.
All suspects have been charged through the district court.
