SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Some bikers in NEPA are proving that community comes first. They hit the streets Sunday for a cause close to their hearts.
The NEPA Riders Group gathered to clean a two-mile stretch of Ransom Road, honoring two beloved friends who passed away in motorcycle crashes.

Organizers say it is not only about the cleanup, but also unity and showing the positive side of the biker community.
"They're all good people, they just have a passion for two wheels. We all just wanna help each other, and I'm glad that's being translated here. Hopefully, that message is spreading and we can do more good in the world," said Chris Hughes, organizer and a friend of the victims.
Organizers plan to make this an annual tradition. They hope to keep honoring their friends and show the community the real heart of bikers.
