ROSS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials say one person is dead and another was rushed to a hospital after a crash in Ross Township on Sunday.
Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) told 28/22 News authorities were called to the intersection of Pennsylvania State Route 118 and Grassy Pond Road for a reported crash Sunday afternoon involving a single car into a tree.

Troopers have announced passenger Robert Gibbs Jr., 83, was declared deceased at the scene by Luzerne County Coroner Jill Matthews. The driver, Walter Gibbs, 81, was flown to a nearby hospital.
The condition of the injured person is not known at this time and the investigation is ongoing into the incident.
