Bradford County man charged with numerous sex offenses

TROY BOROUGH, BRADFORD COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A jury has found a Bradford County man guilty of numerous sex offenses against children.

Chase Ripley, 40, of Troy Borough was found guilty of felony charges of involuntary sexual intercourse with a child and statutory sexual assault, and two misdemeanor counts of indecent assault of a child.

The offenses were committed in the Summer of 2022 and Spring of 2023 in Troy Borough.

Ripley was also charged in 2017 with sexual intercourse without consent of a woman in Montana based on allegations he had when he was a CPS worker who had control of the placement and visitation rights of the woman's child.

Man found guilty of 1st degree murder and other charges

Ripley pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of official misconduct and negligent endangerment.

He served an 18-month suspended sentence in that case.

Sentencing is scheduled to occur on November 21 in the Bradford County Courthouse.

He will face a mandatory charge of at least 20 to 20 years for the involuntary deviant sexual intercourse offense with the other offenses being left up to the trial judge.
