Man found guilty of 3rd degree murder in 2023 shooting

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A Wilkes-Barre man has been found guilty of third-degree murder and other charges after a woman was shot dead last year according to police.

Natanihel San Martin was found guilty of third-degree murder, two counts of recklessly endangering another person, and endangering the welfare of children after he allegedly murdered a woman in February 2023.

Suspect in custody after Sunday morning homicide

According to the initial report, police say San Martin fired a shot in the bedroom where his three-year-old child was sleeping after getting into an argument with the victim.

San Martin's sentencing is set to take place on December 17, at 10:30 a.m.
