Eight polling location changes in Luzerne County to know

LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Board of Elections for Luzerne County announced previously eight locations in the county have been changed ahead of the upcoming election.

On October 10, the Luzerne County Board of Elections announced locations of eight polling places were changed in Pittston, Wilkes-Barre, and Wright Township.

In Pittston City, Wards 02 and 03, originally located at the Pittston Memorial Library, has been moved to the Saint Joseph Morello Church at 237 William Street.

Meanwhile out in Wilkes-Barre City, Wards 10 and 11 were moved from Marymount Charter School to Saint Nicholas Church on 226 South Washington Street.

Also in Wilkes-Barre City, Wards 15 and 16, previously located at Kistler Elementary School, has been moved to Saint Aloysius Padden Haul at 143 Division Street.

In addition, Wards 19 and 20 in Wilkes-Barre still don't have a polling place, but are anticipated to be moved from Boyd Dodson School over to the Osterhout Library South Branch on the corner of High and Parish Streets.

Finally in Wright Township, District 1 and District 2 have been moved to the Wright Township Municipal Building at 321 South Mountain Boulevard.
