BENTON TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Lackawanna County Department of Roads and Bridges has announced a bridge on Earl Clark Road will be closed until further notice.
The County says a side of the bridge collapsed on October 15 while road crews were working on the bridge deck.
Casey Highway road closures throughout October
According to a County Roads and Bridges spokesperson, the damage is significant and the bridge will need an engineering review and major repairs.
The bridge will remain closed during the work, and it is not known if a temporary solution to reopen the road is possible.
