EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU)— The 4-2 Pittsburgh Steelers return home to take on the 2-4 New York Jets in the Steelers' second primetime game in three weeks.
The Steelers are coming off a bounce-back 32-13 win against the Las Vegas Raiders after losing to the Dallas Cowboys 20-17 in a game that came down to the final play.
The Jets are in the midst of a three-game skid, falling to division rival Buffalo 23-20 with Jets QB Aaron Rodgers throwing an interception on the potential game-winning drive to seal the game.
A lot has changed in a week though.
Looking for an offensive spark, the Jets traded for Aaron Rodgers' former teammate and Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams.
Rodgers played with Adams from 2014-2021 and has compiled 622 catches for 7,590 yards and 69 touchdowns in 108 games.
The Steelers backend will be tested by Garret Wilson and Allen Lazard, who each had over 100 yards last week against the Bills.

Rodgers will be hunted by a Steelers defensive front featuring former Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt, 6x Pro Bowler Cameron Heyward, and 2023 All-Pro Linebacker Patrick Queen as they face a Jets offensive line that has allowed 30 QB hits over the last three weeks.
The Steelers are in the midst of a potential QB change as Head coach Mike Tomlin has not named a starting QB, but did say Russell Wilson got first-team reps this week in practice.
Wilson has been battling back from a calf injury that caused him to miss the first four weeks of the season and was just active last week against the Raiders.
Despite the 4-2 start, the Steelers have struggled offensively ranking 20 in points per game, 26 in yards per game, and 28 in passing yards per game.

Justin Fields has accounted for 10 total touchdowns on the year but ranks just 25th in passing yards per game.
The last two weeks have been particularly rough as he has completed just 57% of his passes and has failed to break 150 yards in each of them.
This Jets defense has been stout all year allowing a team to score 25 points just once in their first six games.
This team has one of the most complete defenses in the NFL with cornerbacks Sauce Gardner and DJ Reed roaming the backend and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams and defensive end Will McDonald.
McDonald is currently 2nd in the NFL with 7.5 sacks
