SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Local children and their families got a chance to take part in a drive-through trick-or-treat.
Cars were lined up all the way to the entrance of McDade Park for the O'Malley's Free Drive-Thru Halloween Party Sunday afternoon.
The entirely free event gave kids candy, a coupon for a meal at Texas Roadhouse, a slice of Good Fella's Pizza, Chuck E. Cheese tokens, and a coupon for a free McDonald's burger and fry.

The event was originally run by O'Malley's mother who he says loved giving back to the community.
"My mother would just be thrilled. If my mother was here today she'd be standing here saying hello to people as they go through. It's a great feeling to be able to give back," said event organizer Patrick O'Malley.
Patrick has carried on the event each year since her passing in 2011 and he sees this as a way to carry on her legacy by following in her footsteps.
