OLYPHANT, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A Sunday morning fire damaged a house with apartments inside.
According to the Lackawanna County Center for Public Safety, crews were called to the 200 block of Sanderson Ave for a reported structure fire just before 9:30 a.m.
When on-scene crews encountered a smoky blaze, that could be seen throughout the county.
Officials say the fire was under control by 10:15 a.m.
Chief Tratthen of the Excelsior Fire Company #1 stated that one firefighter transported with minor injuries.
Crews battled house fire in Butler Township
A Pennsylvania State Police fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire, but it does not appear to be suspicious at this time.
Excelsior Fire Company #1 handled the response on-scene.
