SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A new healthcare facility is ready to take on patients in Lackawanna County.
It's a one-stop shop that provides care in several specialties and today they cut the ribbon on the new building.
Friendship House and the Wright Center partnered to open a whole-person care center in downtown Scranton. This new facility will be a one-stop shop for healthcare needs for all ages.
"Whole person care offers a full array of services to individuals in our community. Mental health, substance use disorder, primary care, and pharmacy services," said Alex J Hazzouri the president and CEO of Friendship House.
The location of this center is also another plus.

This new healthcare facility is expected to help more than 1,000 people.
Both Friendship House and the Wright Center are non-profit organizations and say that giving back to the community is one of the best parts of what they do.
"I'm a primary care doctor die-hard public health enthusiast I really believe in nondiscriminatory services that lift up everyone so no one's left behind in our community," noted Dr. Linda Thomas-Hemak President & CEO of the Wright Centers for Community Health.
The new center will be taking patients starting Monday, October 28.
