WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Some masked marauders roaming Downtown Wilkes-Barre is no reason to call the police this weekend. It's all part of an annual celebration on the Public Square.
From inflatable costumes to box costumes and even iconic band members, they were all part of this year's trick-or-treating event in Downtown Wilkes-Barre.
Kids dressed up as all kinds of characters which caught the attention of many, including one five-year-old girl.
"Cause there's like all different costumes and there's beautiful costumes and good old costumes," said Wilkes-Barre resident Jayce Buckner.
Deciding what to dress up as each Halloween can be difficult, but not for the three children of the Munett family.

"That process is never hard, the process is trying to figure out which one of them they want," Victor Munett from Wilkes-Barre said.
Most people 28/22 News spoke with say they prefer events like these over traditional door-to-door knocking.
"Cause, um, so no one gets kidnapped, no candies poisoned and stuff, so no one gets hurt," said Kingston resident Amir Campbell.
Parents also agree.
"I prefer this a lot better because everyone is here, it's easier to maneuver, you don't have to knock on unknown people's doors, and things of that nature," Munett continued.
The trick-or-treat event was put on by the City of Wilkes-Barre, the Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Association, and the Diamond City Partnership.
