Driver allegedly threatens troopers during arrest for hit and run

TOBYHANNA TWP., MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police charged a man after they allege he threatened troopers while being arrested for a hit-and-run incident.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on October 25 troopers were called to investigate a driver that almost hit another car in Tobyhanna Township.

Police say the vehicle fit the description of a hit-and-run crash that occurred in Wilkes-BarreCity earlier that evening.

Troopers found the car and the suspect, Corey Nelson, 35, was arrested. PSP said while being arrested Nelson made numerous threats towards troopers.

The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office approved charges for terrorist threats against Nelson.
