Three wanted after food truck armed robbery in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police are searching for three men after they allegedly robbed a food truck at gunpoint in Wilkes-Barre.

According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, on Tuesday, October 29 around 10:30 p.m., officers were called to a food truck on Hazle Street for a reported armed robbery.

Officers said three employees were inside the food truck getting ready to close when three men wearing ski masks entered the truck.

Police say two of the men had guns and demanded everyone get down on the floor of the food truck. The suspects removed $600 from the cash register and took the victim's phones, investigators reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
