LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Luzerne County Election Bureau was briefly evacuated after a bomb threat was received.
Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo tells 28/22 News that they, along with many other Pennsylvania counties, received an email threat that there was a bomb in place inside the building.
Pennsylvania polling locations receive bomb threats, move ballots
Crocamo says the bureau building at Penn Place in Wilkes-Barre did evacuate for a short period as police investigated however the threat does not appear credible.
Employees were able to go back inside the election bureau.
