Hazleton police announce passing of K-9 Justice

HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Hazleton City Police Department announced on Tuesday the passing of one of their K-9s.

On Monday, the Hazleton City Police Department sent out a release announcing the sudden passing of one of their K-9s, Justice, who passed away on Friday, November 1.

Justice served for over nine years alongside Detective Lieutenant Howey and made the community safer by recovering a considerable number of pounds of illicit drugs and helping apprehend numerous criminals, according to police.

But beyond his impressive work, Justice was also known for his loyalty, his unwavering dedication, and his ability to bring a smile to the faces of his fellow officers. He had a special knack for lightening the mood, often with a well-timed "scare" that always left everyone laughing.
