Pa. polling location time extended due to opening delays

LAFLIN, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials have announced a petition to extend a Laflin polling location's closing time to 9:30 p.m. due to the doors opening late.

Tuesday morning, 28/22 News reported several issues at Luzerne County polling places. Laflin was one of the few reporting issues.

Laflin's polling location did not open until 8:28 p.m. due to the judge of elections not being present.

Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo confirms a county judge granted the request, made by petition, to extend voting hours to 9:30 p.m. at St. Maria Goretti Church in Laflin.
