EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU)— The AP has predicted that Pennsylvania will go to political newcomer Republican Dave McCormick, but with margins razor thin and votes left to count Democrat Bob Casey has not conceded the race.
The AP has predicted that the state of Pennsylvania will flip one seat bringing the Republican total to 53 seats.
With the race still not officially called and 99% of the vote in, the Casey campaign released a statement saying:
I have dedicated my life to making sure Pennsylvanians’ voices are heard, whether on the floor of the Senate or in a free and fair election. It has been made clear there are more than 100,000 votes still to be counted. Pennsylvania is where our democratic process was born. We must allow that process to play out and ensure that every vote that is eligible to be counted will be counted. That is what Pennsylvania deserves.

The campaign states that there are 100,000 ballots left to county with 18,000 being in Allegheny County where Case holds just under a 20 point advantage.

McCormick's campaign released a statement earlier today saying he will be the next United States Senator.
McCormick is up 30,679 votes with more to come, as ruby red Cambria County is still outstanding. While votes continue to be counted, any way you slice it, Dave McCormick will be the next United States Senator from Pennsylvania.

Dave McCormick is scheduled to hold his victory press conference Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Pittsburgh at the Heinz Hall Performing Arts Garden.
The provisional counting process in Pennsylvania takes a while and these ballots may not be reviewed and counted for more than a week.
