WOODWARD TOWNSHIP, LYCOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an attempted homicide that occurred late Friday night that left one person injured and another in custody.
State police have arrested 28-year-old Tyler Whyte from Williamsport after he allegedly shot 33-year-old Shawn Shipton also from Williamsport.
According a PSP release, troopers were called to Wither Hollow Lane for an altercation.
After investigation, it was found that Whyte and Shipton engaged in an verbal altercation when Whyte pulled out a pistol and fired multiple rounds at Shipton.

Troopers say Shipton was struck multiple times and was transported to UPMC Williamsport for treatment in unknown condition.
Whyte was taken into custody by PSP Montoursville without issue.
Whyte was arranged on a charges of Attempted Homicide among other related charges, and is currently being held at the Lycoming County Prison.
