CLARKS SUMMIT, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Several businesses in Lackawanna County are getting a jump on the holiday season by staying open late on Thursdays.
The Shop Late on State event is in full swing.
It's designed to make shopping on State Street in Clarks Summit more convenient by extending store hours.

Most stores and restaurants are offering incentives to customers who support local businesses.
"I make 80% of the jewelry here so it's a lot of small gifts or items you're not gonna get anywhere else. (But) If you shop on Thursdays, you get 20% off but that doesn't mean you can't shop any other time bc I'll give you 20% off, so come on in!" said Dalton Central Owner Debbie Plummer.
