PALMYRA TWP., PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report a man has died after his car crashed into a tree in Pike County.
According to PSP, on October 25 around 5:20 p.m., troopers were called to the 600 block of Lake Wallenpaupack Road (State Route 507) for a report of a car crash.
Police chase ends with driver facing DUI charges
The crash happened when the car being driven by 57-year-old Glenn Johnson, of Tafton, veered into the oncoming lane and hit a tree on the roadway, troopers reported.
Johnson was removed from the car and was taken to the hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries and suffering a cardiac arrest on the scene.
State police say Johnson died due to multiple traumatic injuries.
