UNION TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) have identified a man that died in a crash along Route 11 late Friday night.
Troopers identified the man as 56-year-old Michael Faruolo.
Officials say Faruolo was traveling southbound along PA-11 just before 10:30 p.m. when he left the west-side of the roadway in his 2011 Toyota Rav4.

Authorities say he then re-entered the roadway and crossed into the northbound lane before striking a a guardrail head-on and then striking a utility pole.
The car then overturned back onto the roadway, and Faruolo was ejected from the vehicle.
Troopers say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police were assisted by Mocanaqua Fire, Hunlock Creek Fire, and Evan's Towing.
