SYBERTSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— People across Northeastern Pennsylvania are getting into the Christmas spirit.
SJM Auto Sales and Repair put up its annual community Christmas tree in Luzerne County Friday afternoon.
This year's spruce stands at about fifty feet.
It'll be decorated with roughly three thousand lights, and topped with a star.
The company's owner says the tree is their way of giving back to the community.
It's also done in collaboration with their toys for tots drive, and their yearly holiday event.
"We use the tree to go towards Toys for Tots but also for community pride. I love my community, I love Christmas, and you know it's a way we're able to give back to the community a little bit," expressed SJM Auto Sales and Repair Owner Stephen Martonick.
SJM Auto Sales and Repair will host the annual Christmas event on December 14 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Kids can meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus. They will also have vendors, and a chance to donate to their toys for tots drive.
