(WBRE/WYOU) — Cold air is firmly in place across Pennsylvania. While we do expect this to continue through the weekend, we're tracking snow showers early Thursday.
Snow showers and even a few snow squalls will continue throughout the morning. Be prepared for snow-covered roadways and allow extra time to get to your destination! An additional coating to two inches will be possible. By the afternoon, a few snow showers linger. It will be quite windy with gusts between 40-50 mph, leading to the potential for isolated power outages. Highs in the low and mid-30s. A few flurries and snow showers are possible tonight, otherwise mostly cloudy and windy. Lows in the lower 20s.

Friday will have clouds and some sun with a passing flurry or snow shower. It will remain windy with highs struggling to climb out of the 20s. Saturday will have more clouds than sun with highs in the mid-30s. Sunday will be warmer with a partly sunny sky. Highs in the mid-40s. A milder pattern returns heading into early next week. There will be a chance for rain showers on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Highs on Monday in the upper 40s, lower 50s on Tuesday, and mid-40s by Wednesday.
Another shot of cold air will follow the clipper system for Friday. Highs on Friday will be near 30 with a leftover flurry or snow shower.
Another clipper system is expected to move across the Northeast on Saturday. Once again, it will be scattered flurries and snow showers. Saturday's highs will be in the lower and middle 30s. Clouds are notoriously stubborn at this time of the year, but Sunday could allow for decent breaks. Highs will be in the middle and upper 30s. A few snow or rain showers are possible on Monday. Highs will be in the lower 40s.
