HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A large grant is helping to make a difference in Luzerne County.
Vistra will award a $10,000 grant to the Hazleton Integration Project to support the construction of a two-acre nature park in the city.
This innovative project will offer the people of the greater Hazleton area the opportunity to experience unique interactions with the natural world in an area close to where they live.

"We wanna say wait let's interact with the natural world. It's so beautiful and offers so many other opportunities for learning- and so how could we make that happen? And we really believe that this park is going to be able to do that," said Bob Curry the founding president.
H-I-P donated the two-acre tract of land several years ago it is said to be biodiverse in plant and animal life.
