CAC takes part in Giving Tuesday in Scranton

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Giving Tuesday is a day when people are encouraged to donate to local nonprofits that help communities.

The Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of NEPA is taking part to generate funds for their causes.

For part of their Season of Giving campaign, the CAC hopes to raise much-needed funds to allow them to continue their efforts in providing children affected by abuse with support, advocacy, and healing.

Donations go towards snacks, drinks, and gifts for their patients.

"Many people wanna donate to the causes that they believe in and this is a great opportunity for you to donate money and other means to your favorite organization. We can use anything that anybody wants to donate to us and we know that people have many organizations that they support," said Cheryl Friedman, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner at CAC.

The CAC has been working in the community for over 20 years.
