HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One man has been charged after a shooting took place in Hazleton.
According to the Hazleton City Police Department, on September 6, officers responded to a shooting on West 5th Street and North James Street.
Police say two unknown males approached a group of people in a car and opened fire.
During the investigation, police said they located and arrested the owner of the car fleeing the scene as 21-year-old Jeifry Del Rosario Del La Cruz, who is also the suspect in the shooting.

Officials state they found DNA from the shooting that matched the DNA of Del Rosario Del La Cruz.
The release noted Del Rosario Del La Cruz was located and arrested on November 27.
Del Rosario Del La Cruz has been charged with several counts of aggravated assault to cause serious bodily injury or injury with extreme indifference, assault with a deadly weapon, recklessly endangering another person along with multiple related charges.
Del Rosario Del La Cruz was denied bail and is being held in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
