Two people face charges after weekend shooting in Luzerne County

DENNISON TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania State Police announced that two people are in custody after a shooting in Luzerne County.

On November 30, a man knocked on his neighbor's door on Natures Lane in Dennison Township just after 5:00 p.m. and said he had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police determined the shooting to be an isolated incident and began to search for potential suspects.

According to state police, on December 1, troopers obtained arrest warrants for 29-year-old Shaine Irvin Hawk and 24-year-old Robin Grace Sterner.

On December 3, Hawk and Sterner were located at a home in the 300 block of South 1st Street in Lehighton Borough, Carbon County, and were taken into custody without incident, state police added.

Man charged in Hazleton shooting

Sterner and Hawk were charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangering another person.

Both are being held in Carbon County Correctional Facility awaiting arraignment.
