KIDDER TOWNSHIP, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Snow will be a welcome sight for skiers and resorts in our area.
In the meantime, it's cold enough to make snow, which is why the slopes at Jack Frost Ski Resort in the Poconos opened for the season on Wednesday.
People came out from all over for the first day of the season to hit the slopes.

"I had a lot of great guests come out that were excited to ski and excited to get out on the slopes and you know it's just one of those days where there's just a lot of enjoyment in the air and super excited to be open and operating again," Jack Frost Big Boulder General Manager Tony Santora said.
"A big thank you to snowmakers and the lifties out here that are out here today braving this cold. But I'm super happy to be back for the season," said Ryan Roeber from Effort.
The folks at Jack Frost say conditions are great on the mountain and they are excited to kick off the season.
