Nay Aug Ave. reconstruction project underway after delays

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A reconstruction project in Lackawanna County is finally underway after some delays.

Nay Aug Avenue in Scranton closed on Wednesday for the Green Ridge Bridge Replacement Project.

Restrictions on roadways across Pennsylvania during Thursday’s snow

The road is expected to remain closed until fall of 2026.

Those who walk or bike the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail will need to take a detour during construction.

Green Ridge Street will stay open for pedestrians during the project.
