Woman arrested of alleged drug sales in NEPA

HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A woman was arrested and charged after police say she was caught selling drugs in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The Wayne County District Attorneys said they arrested Julia Drongoski, 50, from Honesdale after an investigation began in March 2024.

Police stated a controlled buy was conducted in July resulting in Drongoski's arrest. She was later released on bail, however, in September officers said Drongoski was suspected of selling drugs again in the Honesdale area.

In November, Drongoski was arrested after a warrant was issued. While being arrested, Drongoski was found with additional drugs hidden on and in her body, according to investigators.

Drongoski is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance and other drug-related offenses.
