Details into shooting, man flees after being shot in the face

DENNISON TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — We are learning more details about a shooting that took place in Luzerne County over the weekend, where police say a man ran from his house after being shot in the face.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on November 30, around 5:30 p.m., troopers were called to Peat Moss Raod in Dennison Township for a shooting incident.

Police say they learned a man and a woman, later identified as  29-year-old Shaine Irvin Hawk and 24-year-old Robin Grace Sterner, arrived at the victim's house after Hawk and the victim met on Facebook Marketplace regarding solar panel purchasing.

The three met on multiple occasions and then on November 30 Sterner and Hawk arrived at the victim's house to claim that the victim owed Hawk something, troopers reported.

The victim then heard a loud bang and saw a flash realizing that he had been shot in the face, the victim then fled into the woods near his residence to escape, as stated in the affidavit. Sterner and Hawk chased the victim until he got a neighbor to help him.

Hawk and Sterner were arrested on December 3 and charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangering another person.
