ORANGEVILLE, COLUMBIA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A fire broke out at an action house barn in Columbia County Friday night.
Route 487 was shut down in the area of Charmund Road, but has since been reopened as crews battled the fire according to the Orangeville Community Fire Company.
According to the Columbia County Communications Center, a call came in around 9:42 p.m. about a barn fire on the unit block of Charmund Drive.
Orangeville Community Fire Company Fire Chief Brandon John stated that the building was a pole barn so there was a lot of tin in it making it difficult to contain.
Authorities say that the building was home to an auction house that sold farming equipment and other antiques.

Crews were recalled around 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning according to Chief John
Orangeville Community Fire Company was handling the scene.
Nine other companies from surrounding areas responded to the scene as well.
Chief John says the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
No injuries were reported.
