FOSTER TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local event this weekend is paying homage to both history and the holiday season.
The 8th annual Christmas at Eckley holiday festival in weatherly is underway along Eckley Main Street.
You can find vendors their delicious treats and even some sweet holiday music being played on an original 19th-century pipe organ.

You cannot forget saying hello to jolly old Saint Nick himself, aside from all the fun, there is a bigger reason to take part.
"Community people, being with people, enjoying, singing, caroling, exchanging gifts, a party, what have you, even just doing something together with someone and it's fruitful. It's a good feeling," stated Natalie Kost an event volunteer.
The day's activities wrap up tonight at seven but you still have Sunday to be a part of the fun.
Christmas at Eckley continues Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Foster Township
