OLD FORGE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The thaw from our recent cold snap is welcome news for local runners who took part in a festive fundraising holiday tradition.
Call it reindeer prancing on South Main Street in Old Forge. Roughly 170 runners took part Sunday morning in the seventh annual Jingle Bell Jog.
The more than mile-long course wound through downtown.

While competitors felt the need for foot speed, there is no denying many were feeling something else, too.
"I did it last year, and then like two years before that, I didn't really get to do it that much because the pandemic, but other than that, I want to continue to do it cause it's really fun," said Noah Leger, a runner from Taylor.
