Driver killed after car crashes into tree

CRAWFORD TWP., CLINTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — State police report a man has died after his car veered off a roadway and crashed into a tree.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, on December 5 around 5:30 a.m., a crash happened on State Route 880 on Rauchtown Raod in Crawford Township, Clinton County.

Police say the driver, Jonathan Corielus, 39, of Jersey Shore, left the roadway, hit an embankment, became airborne, and landed on the passenger side of the vehicle. The car then struck a large tree on its windshield/roof area.

Corielus was pronounced dead on the scene as a result of the crash.
